The especially robust construction of the AGF-160 verge mulching mower makes it stand out.
In contrast to the lighter models AGL-160, AGL-165, etc., this is the heaviest mowing unit model (higher material strength etc.) we are dealing with. Heavier 1.2 kg hammers are also installed in this mowing unit, not the otherwise standard 800 g hammers. The Jansen AGF-160 has a specially strengthened angular gearbox. An improved three-point hanger now provides even more stability. Through lateral alignment of the mowing unit, you can mow ditches, bank areas, earth walls, etc., with ease.

It can be moved to the left and right and you can set it at an angle (90° upward and 55° downward). For this function you need 2 hydraulic control circuits on your tractor, as the mower unit has 2 double-action hydraulic cylinders for this purpose. The 14 specially hardened, 1.2 kg hammer blades, which are arranged on a double spiral drive shaft, shred clippings to a minimum size.
Even very high grass, bushy or straw-like clippings are no problem for this mower because 2 counter blades are installed. With maximum lateral alignment the dimension from the middle of the tractor to the outer edge of the mowing unit is approx. 254 cm. Please find all dimensions in the following drawings: Furthermore, the Jansen AGF-160 comes with collision protection. This is triggered in the event of contact with hindrances, for example fencepost etc., and allows the verge mulching mower unit to swing upward, site and backward in order to minimise the risk of greater damage. The AGF-160 mulching mower additionally has a trailing roller and a freewheel gearbox. The suspended, galvanised slats at the front of the mower unit prevent stones escaping. The transport wheels make it easier for you to manoeuvre on level ground without attaching the mower to your tractor. The cutting height can be set with the top controller and the runners mounted on the side. The mower unit is hung using the three point linkage of your tractor (from Cat. II). Your tractor should have at least 50 HP.

Note: The device is delivered well packed and disassembled in a wooden crate. For the final assembly you should plan about 4-5 hours. Included in the delivery is an instruction manual, as well as an exploded view. The assembly is usually no problem, however, it is recommended to perform the assembly with another person. If assistance is needed, we are available by telephone. A top link pin is also included in the delivery! The gearbox is dry and must be filled with oil (80W90, approx. 1 liter) before first use.
